When Will Carnell Williams Return?

Chris Harry a Sentinel Staff Writer for OrlandoSentinel.com had documented Carnell Williams rehab stint since his devasting injury in Carolina a little less than a year ago. Williams is asking the training the staff to clear him for Training Camp, but the trainers are thinking a little differently.

Williams asked to be cleared to run plays with the team during minicamp, but the training staff is maintaining caution with his progress. It's doubtful Williams will be cleared for training camp, which opens July 25 at Disney's Wide World of Sports, but the Bucs know better than to rule out anything.

For Williams, barriers are crashing down like bowling pins.

"He hasn't come back yet," Gruden said. "But he's banging on the door."
