You guys have asked for it so here it is. The 2008 Fantasy Football Strength of Schedule broken out by position. The first graph shows each position broken out from #1 (the easiest schedule) to #32 (the toughest schedule). I also include a graph for the playoff starting Week 14-16.

So let me get this straight when for example SD for QB & WR has 32 than that means that the QB's & WR's have the hardest time to score or the opponent?

Vic,

32 means, by using last years defensive numbers, the 2008 schedule for the SD Chargers and their QB & WR positions will have the toughest schedule because the teams they are going up against held QB's and WR's to the lowest FANTAY point totals a year ago.

If they are in the Top 5, the opposite is true. Their positions will have the easiest schedule because the defenses they are facing gave up tons of FANTASY points to that position.

Hope that helps pal

OK but that is from last year do they take in consideration the teams updates such as Asante Samuel to PHI and key drafted players on DEF for example? If not where can I get updated Strength of schedule by position?

VIC,

This does not. This was put together from team stats of 2007. I looked around at some of the bigger sites out there and they all use the 2007 actually team stats, similar to this one.

If I find one, I will post it up for everyone pal.

Thanks

  • gast_8694 : Great Fantasy football show, the best on BlogTalkRadio in my opinion. I really appreciate you guys keeping it real and fast. Lots of information in short amount of time.
  • Wayne Provo : Tony's OK by me...
  • Lenny : I really do not agree and many others share my love for Tonys work as he has 3 of the top 4 rated Sports shows on Blog talk radio
  • gast_7832 : Gast, I have to agree. Lenny, I can appreciate you wanting to make the site better and all, but this latest attempt of adding Tony to the podcasts is an utter failure. I have nothing against the guy Lenny, but he flat takes away from your show. You have votes on all sorts of things...put a poll up about limiting Tony's comments to the written word.
  • gast_2761 : So you're sayin' that you started the podcast right on time today Tony? Tell Lenny we miss him...terribly.
  • gast_7298 : We have asked for thise who use our service ,to send in a contribution to help cover our costs...we assume you have since you are a user...
  • gast_497 : Not a 'concern', more so a likely fact. Anybody who knows anything about advertising realizes where you make a buck, and it's not from charging a few bucks to get the magic key to access the same info they've been getting free for months. You've stuffed this 'free' concept down our throats for months...plz honor it.
