It's only a matter of time before we see Jay Bruce at the Major League Level. Batting .348/7/29, to go along with seven steals in seven attempts, all eyes in the Reds organization are on this prized outfielder.
What's even more impressive is that over his last 10 games Bruce is hitting .515/2/8.
The word out of Cincy is that Ken Griffey Jr. is on his way back to Seattle which should open the door for Bruce. With struggle outfielders, Ryan Freel and Corey Patterson, Manager Dusty Baker has to be feeling the heat to make a change.
Baseball America's #1 Prospect is living up to the hype through May 12th. The bigger question is, how long can the Reds keep him down at AAA?
As far as Fantasy is concerned, I don't see him having the same impact as Ryan Braun did last year after getting called up, but not many rookies called up in May have ever had the impact he did. Bruce will be a decent hitter this year for Reds, and I have him penciled in for .265/17/63. Those numbers could decrease if the Reds decide not to call Bruce up until June or July.
Braun had perhaps the best rookie season in decades, so it is certainly not hard to predict Bruce will fall short of Braun's numbers which were historic!
At work and can't make the call.

Tony C : No problem, thanks for making the attempts to listen to podcast. It is great you are taking the time to make your feelings known. Hopefully someday I can improve to your satisfaction. In the meantime if you have any tips send them to me at tonycincotta@yahoo.com. I love a good constructive critique.
Tony C : gast 1501
Tony C : Gast,
gast_1501 : No offense Tony, but I truly hope you know more about football than baseball. I've tried several times to make it through one of your podcasts, but I always find myself eye'in the butter-knife wondering which would end the agony first. Again, I apologize if this is a tad callous, I simply don't want an apparent weak-link bringing down a great thing. Just my $.02
Tony C : These guys do a great job. Top notch information from two guys who know their stuff.
BillHaney : Lenny Paul, you guys are great. Really love the site. I was wondering if you guys were going to go pay next year so that I could keep the competition off here. 9 guys in my league use you guys and it's becoming harder to find the diamonds in the rough...
JOEY : Great stuff guys keep it up...
Jayson : Great job with the pitch or ditch and the new hitting matchups...AWESOME
jordan_fruc : is this the same bill thats holding up the Lenny sign in the fan pages?
Bill : Way to go guys, love the new stuff ...keep it up
