Fantasy Impact: By the looks of him Sat and Sun he is ready to go. Get him back in your lineups.
Down Ticks:
Mike Lowell, 3B BOS
He was placed on the 15-day DL on 8/13 with an oblique injury.
Fantasy Impact: He was not hitting much in the second half to begin with so this is not a huge blow to your fantasy team as you have most likely moved on. This looks by all accounts to be at least 2 15-day DL stints rather than a 1 and done, plan accordingly.
Cristian Guzman, SS WAS
He has missed a number of games since July 25th since sustaining a left thumb injury. They rested the injury, he returned, than missed more.
Fantasy Impact: With this injury he has minimal fantasy value; Look for Washington to DL him for this thumb issue, as rest has not helped.
Billy Wagner, RP NYM
He has been on the DL with forearm stiffness and was scheduled to come off for fantasy week 21. That went by the waste side as he developed elbow soreness over the weekend.
Fantasy Impact: Do not be surprised if the words “Tommy John” or “Dr. James Andrews” are associated with the news regarding Wagner in the next few days. My money is he is done for the season.
