Up Ticks:

Carlos Pena, 1B TB

He returned to the Rays lineup on Friday vs. PIT after a stint on the DL with a fractured left index finger.

Fantasy Impact: He should experience no real effects from the injury other than rust. Feel free to activate him for fanatsy week 14 as his potential to produce in a young but potent TB offense is to attractive to reserve.

Ryan Church, OF NYM

He was activated off the DL on Sunday vs. NYY from his stint due to post concussion syndrome.

Fantasy Impact: He has emerged this year as a must start when healthy in a thin Mets outfield. Feel free to plug him in right away as this issue will not effect his legs or arms and therefore his swing.

Down Ticks:

Magglio Ordonez, OF CHW

He was placed on the DL Sunday due to a pulled right side muscle, most likely an oblique.

Fanatsy Impact: Expect him back after the All Star Break and look for him to go nuts. Just a feeling.

Felix Hernandez, SP SEA

He injured his ankle last Monday night vs. NYM. He was removed immediatly. He missed his 2nd start of Fantasy week 13 and has now been pushed back to next Wednesday at the earliest; making him a risky 1 start pitcher in Fantasy week 14.

Fantasy Impact: This ankle issue could linger for a while. Sprains are not quick healing. The risk is if he comes back to soon, he risks a compensation injury to his shoulder and/or elbow. I am reserving him for Fantasy week 14. I think there is a better than 50/50 chance he goes on the DL retroactive to last Monday with a return post All Star Break.

Dan Uggla, 2B FLA

He left Saturday nights game vs. ARI due to a left ankle sprain. He was held out Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: This may slow him down in Fantasy Week 14 with a game or 2 off and soreness affecting his swing. If you have a viable option, consider reserving him, especially in head to head leagues.

Hideki Matsui, OF NYY

He was placed on the 15 day DL last Friday due to a left knee issue.

Fantasy Impact: The Yankees are hoping a little rest will help Matsui's ailing knee. There is a good chance he will need to get it surgically repaired and all hopes are that his knee will last until the off season. My play if I owned Matsui is ride out the DL stint; Hope he comes back on fire and trade him. If he does make it through the season, the Yanks are bound to rest him more than normal in attempts to get his knee to the offseason.

Lastings Miledge, OF WAS

He injured his right groin Saturday night vs. BAL and was immediately removed from the game. He was placed on the DL before the last pitched was thrown in the game that night.

Fantasy Impact: The fact he was placed on the DL before the game was even over is a big red flag. This DL stint will not be just 15 days; could be more like 60 days or for the rest of the season.

Michael Cuddyer, OF MIN

He was placed on the DL Sunday with a strained tendon in his left index finger.

Fantasy Impact: This should be just a 15 day thing with a return after the All Star break. It was his right index finger dislocation that landed him on the DL at the beginning of the season.
